Way back in 2008, Dave Roman and I ran an “Avatar Fan Panel” at New York Comic Con on behalf of Nick Magazine. The idea was to showcase awesome stuff that people in fandom had made, like fanart and comics and vids. We opened with this AMV, and the entire room basically flipped the fuck out, and it was AMAZING. That panel was probably one of the top five fannish experiences of my entire life.

Anyway, I love this vid. Love it. What it lacks in nitpicky technical details it more than makes up for in heart. Like, you guys, I am tearing up a little just thinking about how this vid makes me feel. No joke. Tears on the keyboard, remembering how much I love these characters and thanking my lucky stars that talented people take the time to distil their own love into fantastic things I can watch on my computer.

Which is all to say that everyone should Tumble their favorite ATLA amvs so I can watch them and cry, I guess.
